Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work A saddled grey hunter in a landscape by Abraham Cooper for GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,742.62). This price was achieved in the auction SPORTING ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Abraham Cooper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Daniel Haigh, Master Of The Old Surrey And Burstow Hunt On His Horse Kitten in June 2008 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 35,718.82).
