Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Profile II by Ablade Glover was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in New York in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,334.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ablade Glover - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work People, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03).

Die Arbeit Profile II von Ablade Glover wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.334,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ablade Glover mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit People beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03) versteigert wurde.
