In March this year Bonhams held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Lorry Station (Unframed) by Ablade Glover. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,475.00 (€ 13,055.03), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ablade Glover - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work People, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03).

Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lorry Station (Unframed) von Ablade Glover zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.475,00 (€ 13.055,03) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ablade Glover mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit People beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03) versteigert wurde.
