Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Fufu Fair by Ablade Glover. The price achieved of GBP 4,096.00 (€ 4,703.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ablade Glover have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work People in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fufu Fair von Ablade Glover zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.096,00 (€ 4.703,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ablade Glover auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit People im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03).
