Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Shrouded Elegance by Abdullah Ariff. The price achieved of HKD 10,000.00 (€ 988.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdullah Ariff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hill Spring, 12th Milestone, Penang in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,830.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shrouded Elegance von Abdullah Ariff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 10.000,00 (€ 988,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdullah Ariff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hill Spring, 12th Milestone, Penang im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.830,90).
