Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Farmer's Home by Abdullah Ariff. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 8,750.00 (€ 864.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdullah Ariff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hill Spring, 12th Milestone, Penang in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,830.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farmer's Home von Abdullah Ariff zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 8.750,00 (€ 864,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdullah Ariff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hill Spring, 12th Milestone, Penang im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.830,90).
