The work On The Road by Abdullah Ariff was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. The auction ended at the price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 6,106.80), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abdullah Ariff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hill Spring, 12th Milestone, Penang, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,830.90).

Die Arbeit On The Road von Abdullah Ariff kam im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 6.106,80) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abdullah Ariff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hill Spring, 12th Milestone, Penang beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.830,90) versteigert wurde.
