Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer, which included the work Foothills by Aaron Kilpatrick. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 828.75 (€ 781.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aaron Kilpatrick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Landscape in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,461.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer durch, in der auch die Arbeit Foothills von Aaron Kilpatrick zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 828,75 (€ 781,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aaron Kilpatrick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Landscape im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.575,00 (€ 12.461,70).
