In October 2000 Christies in Los Angeles held the auction CALIFORNIA WESTERN&AMERICAN PAINTINGS DRAWINGS&SCULPTURE, which included the work Spring Landscape by Aaron Kilpatrick. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,461.70), 18% above the upper estimate. With this result, Spring Landscape is even the most expensive work of art by Aaron Kilpatrick that we have observed at auctions so far.
