Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pixelator by Aaron Curry was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2020. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,255.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aaron Curry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fractured Union (In Perfect Form), which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 67,369.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pixelator von Aaron Curry kam im April 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.255,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Aaron Curry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fractured Union (In Perfect Form) beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 67.369,88) versteigert wurde.
