Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Still waters run deep by A. Roland Knight. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,028.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by A. Roland Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Perch; Salmon and Trout; Roach; Pike; Barbel and Chub; and Trout -the first leap in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 9,560.00 (€ 14,228.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still waters run deep von A. Roland Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.028,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von A. Roland Knight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Perch; Salmon and Trout; Roach; Pike; Barbel and Chub; and Trout -the first leap im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.560,00 (€ 14.228,14).
