In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A pike on a line by A. Roland Knight. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,271.43), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by A. Roland Knight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Perch; Salmon and Trout; Roach; Pike; Barbel and Chub; and Trout -the first leap in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 9,560.00 (€ 14,228.14).

Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A pike on a line von A. Roland Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.271,43) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von A. Roland Knight auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Perch; Salmon and Trout; Roach; Pike; Barbel and Chub; and Trout -the first leap im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.560,00 (€ 14.228,14).
