Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Visions of Ramden by A. Ramachandran was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2005. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,800.00 (€ 13,932.66). Admittedly, works by A. Ramachandran have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 64,871.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Visions of Ramden von A. Ramachandran kam im September 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.800,00 (€ 13.932,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von A. Ramachandran auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 64.871,76).
