Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Melon Seller by A. Ramachandran. The price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 59,710.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by A. Ramachandran have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2012 the work Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) was auctioned for USD 86,500.00 (€ 64,871.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Melon Seller von A. Ramachandran zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 59.710,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von A. Ramachandran konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2012 die Arbeit Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) für USD 86.500,00 (€ 64.871,76) versteigert.
