This artwork by A. Ramachandran achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May last year. In the The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg auction, the work Untitled (Triptych) sold for GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,630.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by A. Ramachandran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 64,871.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von A. Ramachandran erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Triptych) für GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.630,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von A. Ramachandran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 64.871,76).
