Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Bindu Mandala) by A. Ramachandran was sold in the The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,929.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by A. Ramachandran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 64,871.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Bindu Mandala) von A. Ramachandran wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.929,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von A. Ramachandran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 64.871,76).
