Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by A. Ramachandran was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,900.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by A. Ramachandran have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 64,871.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von A. Ramachandran kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.900,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von A. Ramachandran auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 64.871,76).
