Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled Pair Of Works: Winged Musicians And Seated Woman by A. Ramachandran for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,042.21). This price was achieved in the auction Indian Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by A. Ramachandran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 64,871.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled Pair Of Works: Winged Musicians And Seated Woman von A. Ramachandran für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.042,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Indian Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von A. Ramachandran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Crucifixion); Untitled (after Crucifixion of Mathias Grünewald) im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 64.871,76).
