Even before the first gallery exhibitions, Georg Brandner is offering a glimpse of his latest works of art: his as yet ongoing series Farbenrausch (Color rush) is dedicated entirely to the magic and language of color. In vital compositions, Brandner gives the colors the space they need to unfold their visual and emotional impact and cast a spell over the viewer. After completion of the work on Farbenrausch, the cycle will be shown in various galleries in Germany and Austria.

The artist, who comes from Leoben in Styria, has already presented his work at various international art fairs and over 300 exhibitions. Brandner, who also works as a curator and participates in the Art.Salon artist program, is known for his travels to all continents, which inspire him to create his original works of art. In 2012, he was awarded the culture prize of his native town of Leoben.Art.Salon

It was one of the most moving decades in the history of the United Kingdom: the 1980s, characterized by strikes, protests and AIDS. Photographers documented this period and in some cases became political activists themselves through their images. The exhibition The 80s: Photographing Britain opens on November 21 at the Tate Britain in London.
