Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Mountain Village by Zou Zhilin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 28,945.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zou Zhilin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy And Landscape, which sold at auction in September 2013 for USD 149,000.00 (€ 110,084.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Village von Zou Zhilin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 28.945,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Zou Zhilin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape beobachtet, die im September 2013 für USD 149.000,00 (€ 110.084,96) versteigert wurde.
