In January 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included the work Memories Of The Past Series No. 17 by Zhu Yiyong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,162.96), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Yiyong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Festival Of The First Full Moon (Heptaptych), which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 1,144,000.00 (€ 111,984.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Memories Of The Past Series No. 17 von Zhu Yiyong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 38.162,96) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhu Yiyong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Festival Of The First Full Moon (Heptaptych) beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 1.144.000,00 (€ 111.984,81) versteigert wurde.
