Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Memory Of The Past Series No. 15 by Zhu Yiyong was worth HKD 403,200.00 (€ 44,387.10) to a buyer in September 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Yiyong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Festival Of The First Full Moon (Heptaptych), which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 1,144,000.00 (€ 111,984.81).
