This artwork by Zhu Xinjian achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in August last year. In the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings auction, the work True Happiness sold for HKD 141,600.00 (€ 17,923.34) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhu Xinjian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bird on a Branch in April this year with an auction result of HKD 102,000.00 (€ 104,161.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhu Xinjian erzielte im August letzten Jahres bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings wurde die Arbeit True Happiness für HKD 141.600,00 (€ 17.923,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Xinjian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bird on a Branch im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 104.161,96).
