The »bidding war« ended at HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,831.77), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhu Cheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape Album in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,417.75).

Die Arbeit Sailing on a River / Flowers and Birds von Zhu Cheng wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center bei Christies versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.831,77) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Cheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape Album im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.417,75).
