Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Orchid by Zhu Cheng. The price achieved of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,071.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Cheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Album in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,417.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchid von Zhu Cheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.071,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Cheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Album im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.417,75).
