In June 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Plum Blossoms and Birds by Zhu Cheng. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,782.68), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhu Cheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape Album in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,417.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms and Birds von Zhu Cheng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.782,68) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Cheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape Album im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.417,75).
