A top price for Zhou Wendou - as previously expected
In June 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included the work Fragile State - Pink by Zhou Wendou. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,891.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Fragile State - Pink is the most expensive artwork by Zhou Wendou that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fragile State - Pink von Zhou Wendou zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.891,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Fragile State - Pink das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhou Wendou, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
