Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deity With Laurel Crown by Zhou Tiehai was sold in the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2014. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 11,189.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Tiehai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Will/We Must (Set Of 15 Works) in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).

Die Arbeit Deity With Laurel Crown von Zhou Tiehai wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 11.189,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Tiehai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Will/We Must (Set Of 15 Works) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.840.000,00 (€ 498.292,10).
