Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Art II, which included the work Landscape by Zheng Zaidong. The price achieved of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 13,482.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zheng Zaidong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wave, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Art II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Zheng Zaidong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 13.482,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zheng Zaidong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wave beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21) versteigert wurde.
