Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan, which included the work Colored Landscape by Zheng Zaidong. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,032.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zheng Zaidong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wave in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colored Landscape von Zheng Zaidong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.032,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Zaidong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wave im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21).
