Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zheng Guogu could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art – Day Sale auction, the work Computer Is Controlled By Pig'S Brain No. 63 changed hands for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,069.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zheng Guogu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Waterfall in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 58,337.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zheng Guogu konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Computer Is Controlled By Pig'S Brain No. 63 für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.069,84) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Guogu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Waterfall im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 58.337,11).
