The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,890.22) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zheng Chongbin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Definitions 001 in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 77,457.17).

Die Arbeit Fields Of Lines von Zheng Chongbin kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.890,22) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Chongbin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Definitions 001 im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 77.457,17).
