This artwork by Zhao Zhimin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. In the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings auction, the work Immortals sold for HKD 26,400.00 (€ 2,560.17) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhao Zhimin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ladies in Four Seasons, which sold at auction in December last year for HKD 50,400.00 (€ 6,039.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Zhimin erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Immortals für HKD 26.400,00 (€ 2.560,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zhimin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ladies in Four Seasons beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für HKD 50.400,00 (€ 6.039,71) versteigert wurde.
