Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhao Zhimin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Welcoming Spring sold for HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,732.10) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhao Zhimin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ladies in Four Seasons, which sold at auction in December last year for HKD 50,400.00 (€ 6,039.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Zhimin erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Welcoming Spring für HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.732,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zhimin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ladies in Four Seasons beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für HKD 50.400,00 (€ 6.039,71) versteigert wurde.
