In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Perching On The Branches by Zhao Hao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,561.44), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhao Hao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Birds After Ancient Artists in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 47,214.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Perching On The Branches von Zhao Hao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.561,44) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Hao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Birds After Ancient Artists im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 47.214,32).
