In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Eggplants After Song Dynasty Artists by Zhao Hao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,952.50), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhao Hao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Birds After Ancient Artists in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 47,214.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eggplants After Song Dynasty Artists von Zhao Hao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.952,50) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Hao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Birds After Ancient Artists im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 47.214,32).
