Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work I Don'T Think We Really Love Each Other by Zhao Bandi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,813.00 (€ 1,997.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Bandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pink Kiss in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 5,192,000.00 (€ 611,358.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit I Don'T Think We Really Love Each Other von Zhao Bandi im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.813,00 (€ 1.997,73) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Bandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pink Kiss im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 5.192.000,00 (€ 611.358,95).
