The work Mountain Villages by Zhang Zongcang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. It achieved a price of HKD 2,527,500.00 (€ 220,949.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 69%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Zongcang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parasolhall In Autumn in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 49,560,000.00 (€ 5,849,854.06).
