Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Zipiao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in May this year. In the Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Lily 03 sold for HKD 1,210,500.00 (€ 145,091.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhang Zipiao; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mushroom Cloud 02 sold at auction in September this year with the realized price of CNY 1,260,000.00 (€ 163,095.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Zipiao erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Lily 03 für HKD 1.210.500,00 (€ 145.091,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhang Zipiao; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mushroom Cloud 02 im September diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von CNY 1.260.000,00 (€ 163.095,24).
