Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Zhang Zhidong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. The price achieved of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 30,635.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Zhidong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 128,585.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zhang Zhidong wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 30.635,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Zhidong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 128.585,84).
