The work Calligraphy in running Script by Zhang Zhidong was auctioned at Bonhams in September this year. It achieved a price of HKD 7,040.00 (€ 849.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Zhidong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 128,585.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in running Script von Zhang Zhidong kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 7.040,00 (€ 849,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zhidong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 128.585,84).
