Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art, which included the work Young Girl No. 3 by Zhang Xiaogang. The price achieved of USD 63,500.00 (€ 57,622.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Xiaogang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bloodline Series The Big Family No. 2 in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 98,035,000.00 (€ 10,340,568.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young Girl No. 3 von Zhang Xiaogang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.500,00 (€ 57.622,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Xiaogang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bloodline Series The Big Family No. 2 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 98.035.000,00 (€ 10.340.568,27).
