Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Sailing By The Autumn Mountains by Zhang Shiyuan. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,793.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Shiyuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Stream In The Mist in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailing By The Autumn Mountains von Zhang Shiyuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.793,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Shiyuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Stream In The Mist im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21).
