The work Pavillion by the Stream by Zhang Shiyuan was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,370.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Zhang Shiyuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Stream In The Mist in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pavillion by the Stream von Zhang Shiyuan wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.370,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Shiyuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Stream In The Mist im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21).
