In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen by Zhang Shiyuan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,449.87), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Shiyuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Stream In The Mist in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen von Zhang Shiyuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.449,87) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Shiyuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Stream In The Mist im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21).
