A top price for Zhang Pengchong
This artwork by Zhang Pengchong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape And Calligraphy sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,364.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. This high result makes Landscape And Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Zhang Pengchong that we have observed at auctions so far.
