Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brush Marks In Blue And Green by Zhang Pengchong was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,673.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Pengchong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape And Calligraphy, which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,364.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brush Marks In Blue And Green von Zhang Pengchong kam im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.673,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Pengchong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape And Calligraphy beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.364,35) versteigert wurde.
