Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Purple Series by Zhang Linhai for HKD 860,000.00 (€ 87,478.32). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Chinese Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Linhai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Flag, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 251,381.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Purple Series von Zhang Linhai für HKD 860.000,00 (€ 87.478,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Linhai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Flag beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 251.381,85) versteigert wurde.
