Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Teaching Sutras by Zhang Hong was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 26,248.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Hong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Studio by a Secluded Stream, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 604,800.00 (€ 73,124.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Teaching Sutras von Zhang Hong kam im März 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 26.248,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Studio by a Secluded Stream beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 604.800,00 (€ 73.124,72) versteigert wurde.
