In September 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal, which included the work Studio By A Secluded Stream by Zhang Hong. The »bidding war« ended at USD 60,000.00 (€ 44,329.52), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhang Hong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Studio by a Secluded Stream sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of HKD 604,800.00 (€ 73,124.72).

Im September 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studio By A Secluded Stream von Zhang Hong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 44.329,52) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhang Hong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Studio by a Secluded Stream im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 604.800,00 (€ 73.124,72).
